Numerology 101 – What is Numerology and how does it affect You..Your life and Your relationships and how Your interact with other people?

To those of you who are brand new to the concept of Numerology...

Hi everyone don’t worry If you are wondering what Numerology is or what it does. I will share with you all that Numerology is for me and all that I have understood about it. I have taken the time to shed some light on the matter and give context to the special nature of the numbers themselves. Then you can decide if you as an individual resonate with this beautiful ‘Tool’ or not.

We don’t all have to understand every last detail about it. But the fact that this tool can be used to outline ‘You’ and your own special and unique attributes is what I personally love about it. It provides a foundation for all of us to understand our divine patterning; why we make certain choices and why we attract certain people and certain numbers into our lives.

Numerology could be seen or understood as a divine code that has been used for centuries to help define certain patterns at play in certain events. It has been used to define and ‘see’ how certain people could impact the outcome of an event -why they are attracted to that place at that time and how this works on the basis of the numbers. You will have seen that I have made posts around days we celebrate and the numbers that underpin their very ‘specialness’.

What it does

We are all novices at everything until we understand it or at least see the benefits of it! Life is so full of amazing learning’s and teachings.

Numerology ultimately teaches us about ourselves, our loved ones and our families. It explains why we do or why we do not connect with certain people. Why we attract certain situations to ourselves based on our own personal lessons. It helps to define why we are unique and special. Why perhaps we are soulmates or mirrors for each other and sometimes why a karmic connection exists between certain people and thus why a lesson of that sort arises.

Bottom line Numerology provides us with the fundamental grain of our nature. Something we are born with something that follow us through each day for the rest of our lives. By understanding our numbers, they provide us with the skills and ability to work with our patterns. Essentially this empowers us with the ability to change our reactions and actions where we feel they are needed.
An example; lets say you are a naturally fiery and passionate person, by knowing the shadow angle of this quality within your numbers, you are able to mitigate acting from aggression by focusing on how to deal with the feeling instead of being reactive. You can then set better boundaries for others and yourself.


The basic meaning of the numbers

The number 1 is the pioneer, the leader. It is fundamentally individualistic and is also the first.
It is the magician, the creator in its singular force. The negative attributes of the 1 are sometimes being lethargic, lonely and occasionally depressed. It can sometimes have a low vibration… especially if the one is purely focused on material things.

The number 2 is the giver, the nurturer. It’s the number that works for partnership, commitment and being loving in a relationship. The negative attributes of the 2 is that they can be co-dependent, needy and overly emotional at times .

The number 3 is a hard worker, a doer, a creative. They are passionate in nature. The negative attributes of the 3 is that they can be workaholics, fanatical, blunt and their passion can turn to fire and temper!

The number 4 is stable orderly, routined and fundamentally disciplined. The negative attributes of the 4 is that they can be ‘anal’,and too rigid, or a bit boring and can get stuck in self limiting routines.

The number 5 is the freedom seeking rebel, life questioner, fun loving .The 5 loves adventure and dislikes anything that could cage them or trap them. This could include commitment and marriage. The negative attributes of the 5 are that they hate structure and their rebellious nature could put them in a position where they lack commitment and can destroy or sabotage the good things and they have a need to break free so as not to feel trapped like a bird in a cage. They can also take fun and partying to an extreme.

The number 6 is all about love, family and humanitarian ideals. It is number that resonates with compassion. The negative attributes of the 6 is that they can be lazy unmotivated or live in a dream world . Often they not stand up for themselves just to keep the peace as they are innately adverse to conflict .

The number 7 is the deep thinker and 7s are focused task and project orientated. The other side are qualities like being a loner deep thinker and somewhat reclusive or even a hermit-like. 7s can also cut off or be emotionally detached.

The number 8 is the dependable and the infinity and the wealth creator. It is a powerful leader and hard worker. The negative attributes of the 8 is that it can be obsessive and shallow. They can work purely for material wealth and value very little else.

The number 9 is the ‘magic’ transformer. It holds the belief and value that the world is its oyster. It is a number of magic and achievement .The negative attributes of the number 9 is mirroring and absorbing negativity around them and they taking a long time to learn fundamental lessons. They can come across as frustratingly naïve at times.

Transcendental Numerology and how this works

When I do a number analysis I look at the upfront number, as well as the shadow or submissive number. I work these numbers out to equal a 9. Here is an example. If someone is born on the 1st of the month their shadow number will be an 8 (1+8=9). If someone is born on the 2nd of the month their shadow number will be a 7 (2+7=9). 3 is 6, 4 is 5, 5 is 4, 6 is 3, 7 is 2, 8 is 1 and 9 remains 9. So the 9 upfront number and shadow number is 9.

Each number has a positive list of aspects as well as a more negative list of aspects. These provide a pattern or foundation for clients to interpret and balance all the aspects of themselves within their lives Either aspect of the number gives insight into how we engage with ourselves, our partners, our friends, situations and our environments.

At this point, I would like to state that there is absolutely no judgement made with regards to people and their numbers we each are on our own unique journey at our own pace .

The aim of Numerology as a tool is for each person to find the value within themselves and know how they can work to change things in their lives that they are not happy with. It is important to know that there is good and bad in all of us. What numerology provides us as a working tool and the insight and recognition of these traits We need to forgive ourselves and learn along the way and numerology provides us with the platform to change the things we don’t like or that are not good for us by choosing to utilize our other characteristics. it is more about finding the perfect balance within the two extremes.

The Application of the formula

Transpersonal Numerology outlines all of this and more. It is a special and unique tool that excites me. The day, month and year of your birth is your personal code. You could call it your unique Pin Code. Its your very own Blueprint that helps you define who you are and who you can be!

Your personal outline as an individual lies within the numbers of the Day you were born.
Your Month determines your Family dynamics and your interaction within a home environment. Your Year represents your World and Career and how you present yourself in this realm of your life. By adding up your Day your Month and your Year we can reduce it to a single number.This number is your Life Path number which is your Soul Journey and your authentic Life Purpose .

What Happened to Me

When I came across Numerology, I found that in fact the description of myself was just so apt and spot on. I started working out the numbers of my friends and family, and found their descriptions completely accurate and true. They began to want more and I started working out compatibilities and synergies .. I started seeing which of my friends were compatible with their friends and their partners and if not, how to work around this by moving into the other attributes of their numbers.

By understanding Myself through my birthday Pin code and getting to see and understand other people in my life was just incredible for me! It allowed me to find comfort and heal the things within myself that had bothered me since my childhood. It gave me the ability to change and evolve how I interact and react by knowing my own shortfalls. This made me want to use numerology to help other people.

So to summarise

It can explain your personality dynamics and help you grow and improve yourself


Questions people ask ...

How can all people born on the same day, be the same?

Answer

All people born on the same day are not the same even though many of the personality traits may be similar or have overlaps. We each choose which of the aspects of our numbers we choose to ‘tap’ into . Thus, each person, even with the exact same numbers, is on their own unique path. They will have similarities, but be innately different.

How can twins be so different? If they were born on the same day, how could they be opposite in personality?

Answer

Twins may be very similar or even opposite in nature due to the surface/upfront and submissive/shadow numbers we each have. Meaning where one twin born may be a 2 personality type which is partner orientated, doting, caring and nurturing -the other twin could be more the submissive 7, which is the deep thinker quiet and more detached persona. Thus being almost opposite in personality at times.

How do I know if I am with my soul mate?

Answer

If you make a 9 together in any area, that indicates soul mates and that is a particularly special connection. Eg: Your birthday equals a 1 and your partners birthday equals an 8. (1+8=9)

How do I know if there is Karma between my partner and I?

Answer

If you make a 7 together there is past life karma. If there are 4s and 8s together, there are also karmic lessons to be experienced.

You will learn all about you and about all your extremes. There is something to be said to realizing that you are who you are by some grand design! This generally helps for you to heal from things you may have always carried in your heart and in your life.

Through new awareness you can be a more balanced version of yourself. You can understand your strengths and work on your weaknesses. You can learn about yourself and see why you are the way you are. Self-awareness is necessary in a process of growth. It’s about releasing judgment of the self and releasing the idea of perfection in you and in everyone else and celebrating our uniqueness and who we each are in the greater scheme of things in this life.
